The Miller Group is seeking a part time Benefits Intern to support the efforts of the companies’ Benefits team. The Benefits Intern will report to and work closely with the President of Employee Benefits.

The Miller Group’s full-service product offering includes commercial insurance; claims consulting and advocacy, loss control services, employee benefits; HR consulting; and surety bonds.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in all aspects of the marketing, renewal and service processes.
- Produce communication materials for clients to outline renewal changes, enrollment procedures, and plan clarifications.
- Complete paperwork and information gathering tasks to onboard new client accounts and new business lines.
- Assist service teams in the preparation of client presentations, meetings, and benefit fairs.
- Provide basic administrative support to service teams, such as filing and scanning.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Pharmacy and Director of Compliance.
- Prepare and review reports, spreadsheets, and other documents, ensuring proper format, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and professionalism
- Assist team with projects as needed
- Organize, compile and update carrier contact information
- Review & analyze industry benchmarking data
Qualifications:
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in insurance industry is helpful.
- Able to problem solve and work independently with minimal supervisor intervention.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact well with diverse personalities.
- Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and in writing.
