Employee Benefits Internship

The Miller Group is seeking a part time Benefits Intern to support the efforts of the companies’ Benefits team. The Benefits Intern will report to and work closely with the Director of Service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Assist in all aspects of the marketing, renewal and service processes.
  • Produce communication materials for clients to outline renewal changes, enrollment procedures, and plan clarifications.
  • Complete paperwork and information gathering tasks to onboard new client accounts and new business lines.
  • Assist service teams in the preparation of client presentations, meetings, and benefit fairs.
  • Provide basic administrative support to service teams, such as filing and scanning.
  • Prepare and review reports, spreadsheets, and other documents, ensuring proper format, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and professionalism
  • Assist team with projects as needed
  • Organize, compile and update carrier contact information
  • Review & analyze industry benchmarking data
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in insurance industry is helpful.
  • Able to problem solve and work independently with minimal supervisor intervention.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact well with diverse personalities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and in writing.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
